Indoor Cat Cage Review

Cats are probably one of the most interesting animals around, They do what they want, when they want and don´t care what everyone else think. This can be a great characteristic but it can also make living with a cat hard. People are busy and don´t spend every hour of every day at home. This can make having a cat difficult, especially if you live in an apartment building or you have a lot of nick nacks. But what can you do? Many people have found cat cages a great idea. Ok, I know what you are thinking. It seems cruel locking your beautiful cat in a cage all day. But these cages don´t have to be so bad. And everyone knows cats love to hide inside all kinds of thins; boxes, cupboards, closets... anywhere they can find a place! Indoor cat cages don´t have to be any different.

My cats love their cage. I bought it few months ago when I got another cat (in addition to my two 13 year old cats). The two old ones are very territorial and where not happy seeing this little furball in there home! So I got this cage for him to be in and to let the cats get used to each other. It worked wonders and all three cats love the cage now!

The indoor cat cage makes everything look cleaner too. There is enough space for a litter tray and food bowls on the floor of the cage so it isn´t in the way for us two legged creatures! The cage is nice looking as well and it doesn´t stand out in the living room like an eyesore.

My indoor cat cage is made by Iris, a company that specializes in storage items. It is fantastically well made and looks and feels really sturdy. It is of high quality wire and plastic. The 6 casters make it easy to move around and the doors are big enough for easy accessabilty for cleaning. It is easy to put together (although the instructions were not that good). It is 24.8 x 36.8 x 47.6 inches and has a plastic platform half way up for the cats to sleep on. I put a warm blanket and a pillow on the platform to make it cozy. I also hanged some toys from the ceiling for them to play with. They love it!

So, as you can see, indoor cat cages don´t have to a bad thing. You can turn it into a great sanctuary for your cat and my guesses are that it will love its new "home".
